General Questions:

 

Where does the profit go?

​

As an independent organization, we put our profit back into the Bay Ridge community, primarily through our community center programs including food distributions, ESL classes, art/hobby groups, etc. Learn more here.

Do you have any special sales?

​

Veteran discount - 10% off with valid military ID.

Tuesdays - Senior Discount (65+, 10% off) with valid photo ID.

Thursdays - Double Punches: If you have a loyalty card with us, you will receive two punches for every $15 you spend (instead of one)!

Saturdays - Dollar Day: We have one or two large bins of clothing for $1/piece. 

Weekly Color Sale - Every week, items with specific tags are 40% off.

 

We also occasionally have flash sales or end-of-season sales as well as loyalty cards that allow you to earn points when you shop.

Do you accept returns/exchanges?

All sales are final. We do not offer any returns, refunds, store credits, or item exchanges. 

 

Can you hold my items overnight?

​

We do not hold unpaid items overnight. If you have paid for an item and cannot take it with you on the day, we can hold it for up to a week. You must bring your receipt for pick up.

Do you have social media?

Yes! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on our latest inventory, sales, community center events, and other announcements!

Are you hiring staff/volunteers in your thrift store/community center?

​

For the thrift store: We have a steady need for more volunteers. We are also always accepting applications for staff, however, need depends on shift availability. 

 

For our Community Center: We are entirely volunteer based, and opportunities depend on need and availability.

Questions about Donating:

 

When do you accept donations?

 

We accept donations anytime we’re open! We are open and accepting donations Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm and Saturdays, 10am-8pm. Please do not drop off donations when we are closed, as we will not accept them. 

 

Can I leave donations outside if you’re closed?

 

Please do not drop off donations when we are closed. All donations left after hours will be stolen or immediately discarded.

 

What kinds of donations do you take/not take?

Do you have pick-up/delivery?

 

Unfortunately, we do not offer pick-up or delivery services at this time.

 

Can I request for you to call me if certain items are donated?

 

Due to the high volume of donations we receive, we do not currently have the ability to take requests or contact information for specific items.

 

Do you do consignment? Can I sell you my stuff?


As a charitable thrift store, we run solely on community donations. If we do not suit your needs, we would love for you to support fellow local businesses that do offer consignment.

 

Do staff/volunteers get “first pick of donations”?

 

We know these donations are given with the intent to sell to the Bay Ridge community. As a result, every donation must be processed and placed on the retail floor for a set amount of time before staff may purchase it. This gives our customers first priority in finding great deals!
